Where you stay

Your own apartment, a step from the pool.

Every stay starts with an apartment on Koh Samui's quiet south-west coast: a king bed, ensuite, air-conditioning and WiFi, looking onto the heated pool and a walk from Taling Ngam beach. The programme fits around it, so your days are as full or as easy as you want.

Who it's for

Is this the right stay for you?

Honest answers up front, so you know before you enquire.

This is for you if

  • You've always wanted to learn to box and want proper coaching from the start
  • You box already and want a focused block of training
  • You want the fitness that comes with boxing, without stepping into a fight
  • Women and men, any age, any level

It’s not for you if

  • You're after a Muay Thai camp. This is boxing: fists only
  • You have a fight booked. The fight camp is built for that

How it works

What this stay is built on.

Coaching
Head coach Jamie Speight and Nick take the boxing: stance, footwork, combinations, pads and bag work, built up day by day.
Sparring
Optional. Only when your coach says you're ready, always supervised, mouthguard on.
Strength
Afternoon strength sessions with Lucy that make your boxing better and keep you injury-free.
Recovery
Cold plunges, sauna and the magnesium spa after training, because the volume catches everyone out.

Every stay includes

  • Your apartment. A one- or two-bedroom apartment with king beds, air conditioning, a desk and WiFi.
  • Food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, cooked on site and built around your goal and your dietary needs where we can.
  • Training. Coached sessions most days in the air-conditioned strength gym and the boxing gym, scaled to you.
  • Recovery. Two cold plunges, a traditional sauna and a magnesium spa, open 10am to 8pm, plus the heated pool.
  • Measured. BioSignature skinfolds, weight, body composition and progress photos on the first and last day.
  • Your plan home. Calorie and macro targets, a training plan and clear goals, written for you before you leave.

Measured, not promised

Day one and your last day.

  • BioSignature skinfold assessment
  • Weight and body composition
  • Front, side and back progress photos
  • A one-to-one goal and progress review

You see the real change in your own numbers, not a promise made before you arrived.

What we won’t do

  • Throw you in to spar in your first week.
  • Call it Muay Thai. It's boxing, coached properly.

When you go home

The stay ends. The coaching doesn't have to.

Most retreats stop at the airport. Before you leave, you get everything you need to keep going, and a coach if you want one.

Before you leave
Your before and after numbers, your BioSignature results, calorie and macro targets, and a training plan for home.
Your first weeks back
Clear goals for the weeks after you land, so the routine has somewhere to go.

Questions

What people ask us first.

Daily rate on requestAny dates. A week gets you the basics; two to four weeks is where technique sticks.

I've never boxed. Can I come?

Yes. Plenty of people start from zero. You learn stance, footwork and the basic punches first, and build up from there.

How fit do I need to be?

Fit enough to walk for an hour. The sessions scale, and the first days are lighter while you adjust to the heat and the volume.

Do I have to spar?

No. Sparring is optional, only when your coach says you're ready, and always supervised with a mouthguard. You can do the whole stay without sparring.

How many sessions a day?

Usually boxing in the morning and strength or conditioning in the afternoon. You can drop a session when you need to. Most beginners do better training a little less, more often.

How long until I improve?

A week gets you the basics. Two to four weeks is where technique starts to stick.

What should I bring?

Training clothes for the heat, shoes, and your own wraps and mouthguard if you have them. Tell us if you need gloves.

Is it Muay Thai?

No. This is boxing. If you're set on Muay Thai, we'll tell you honestly that you want a different gym.

How hot is it, and how do you train in it?

Koh Samui sits around 28 degrees all year, with days of 29 to 33 and humidity near 80 percent, so it feels hotter. The strength gym is air-conditioned, the boxing gym runs fans and air circulation, and your first days are lighter while you adjust. December and January are the coolest months.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. You eat with the other guests, train alongside them and have your own apartment to go back to. Coming alone is common at training retreats; most people are in the same boat on day one.
